Michelle Robinson

I started training with Michelle towards the end of 2020. I am 51 years old and have had a long term eating disorder that I had been working towards overcoming for around 4 years.

Although I had improved I was still struggling to eat calories past 1100 per day. Michelle has done an amazing job in increasing my calories in a way that I am now able to stay consistent with tracking my food and I am now eating almost 1800 per day - the highest I have eaten ever!!! Michelle managed to do this without me gaining any weight. This has had a major effect on my energy levels, strength and focus. I am now able to meet my daily steps consistently. I have added workouts for home on days I’m not training with Michelle. These workouts are all provided by Michelle via an app which she takes the time out of her busy schedule to prepare.

I am getting stronger, with my Semi sumo deadlift personal best now at 100kg. I couldn’t recommend training with Michelle enough, she is thoughtful and always gives amazing comments of praise when a goal is reached. Michelle has an extensive knowledge and has amazing energy.

I started training with Michelle about 1.5 years ago with very little previous training experience. My goals were to build strength & create a more feminine shape (booty!). I have always been naturally quite lean, but I felt weak & that I lacked shape & definition. 

Focusing on hypertrophy through weights training, I have been able to significantly improve my strength & have achieved PBs that I had never thought were possible. From 30kg deadlift to 80kg & hip thrusting 3 x my bodyweight!

One of the most valuable elements of my training with Michelle has been the assistance with my nutrition & diet. 

With Michelle’s guidance, I was able to reverse diet from 1500 Cals/day to 2000+ Cals/day with no fat gain (I actually lost body fat as part of the process!). And I am looking forward to entering my first proper surplus soon to work on further booty gains this year.

I’ve trained with Michelle for the past three years. In this time, I’ve lost 15kg, built lean muscle mass and grown my confidence. Michelle not only taught me technique and nutrition, but she helped me to see and realise what my mind and body are truly capable of.

When I first started with Michelle, I was lifting 6kg kettlebells in a class. Today I sumo deadlift and my PB is 130kg. I have gone from a 12kg goblet squat to 75kg barbel back squat, and from banded chin-ups to weighted chin-ups. When I first started training, I never aspired to achieve this, and yet today I can’t imagine life without training and pushing myself. It’s a feeling like no other.

Every time we would move into anew phase of training or diet Bao would back everything up with scientific facts and not just some random claims that a roid rager told him in a dim lit gym locker. His meal plans were strict yet precise and sometimes hard to stick to but I believe that comes from a lack of discipline on my end. Bao continuously checked in daily with my nutrition through the trainerize app and advised helpful ways to remain flexible within my macro and calorie budget. As for the training program, Bao has designed the workouts in his program to be swift yet effective. The workouts have strategically placed exercises which allowed me to maximise my results within the short span of twelve weeks. I would have never imagined the results I have achieved with this challenge. My performance has accelerated beyond what was originally expected and my physique is a testament to that.
